A succesfull open day in Tienen
On the 16th of October, the Raffinerie Tirlemontoise opened the doors of her plant in Tienen. For the celebration of our 175th birthday we welcomed over 8.000 visitors! Families, employees, locals,… everyone was present.
During this sunny day the visitors could witness the process from beet to sugar. With helpful information boards on the course everyone got the right information. At the end of the ride the visitors could enjoy a drink and a snack. Enthusiastic children where amazed by the large amount of beets and the large machinery.
To organize this open day everyone put their heads together and joined hands and this proved to be a success. All the ongoing work had to be finished, the renewed reception center, the new technical warehouse, the tunnel above the conversion department,… Furthermore we needed everyone available to manage this event and to give everyone a day not to be forgotten!
Thanks to the commitment of the many employees this open day can be called a big success!
